FAQs:
Existing packages will be honored for their session length value - you will not need to pay anything additional.
Packages will continue to be available for 10% off the new pricing when you buy 5 or more sessions.
Gift certificates will be honored for the dollar value or the session length, whichever is specified on the gift certificate.
**30 minute sessions will be available in certain circumstances, specifically for elderly or young clients, or for clients with limited scheduling availability.
If you book a massage for after October 1 and pre-pay, that payment will be honored in full & you will not owe anything at your massage.
Why this price change?
Well, number one, we all know that many things are getting more expensive. So while I try to keep my business expenses fairly low, there are some increased costs to cover. I plan to enact a small price increase every year or two to keep up with these costs.
This price increase is a little different as it is a larger increase for longer sessions. This is because I am working to make my hourly rate more consistent across my session lengths to both pay myself fairly and have adequate contributions to business expenses.
Gratitudes!
A list of recent work-relevant gratitudes!
Wonderful and patient clients: this was my first time taking two weeks off as a small business owner! Thanks for bearing with me, scheduling in advance, and being generally supportive of taking time off for my general well-being!
My budgeting/accounting software, YNAB: if you had asked me when I started doing massage if I thought I would ever be able to take a paid vacation, the answer would have 100% been “nope.” But here we are, and I did it!
Milestones: This summer is two years of doing massage!!! I am grateful for the reminders to look back and acknowledge learning and growth, and also to look future and imagine fun directions that this work can take me!
Kayaking around Hopewell Rocks around high tide! One of the many fun things we did on our two week vacation!
